(Buffalo, N.Y.) – This week on the Buffalo Review (April 10) we discussed Buffalo State’s new Urban Teacher Academy, the Books 4 Kids program, the elimination of four sports at the University at Buffalo and Runway fashion show.

First, we were joined by Dr. Kathy Wood, associate dean of the School of Education at Buffalo State, about the new Urban Teaching Academy, which is intended to recruit teachers and improve diversity in the Buffalo Public Schools.

Next, we spoke with Dr. Geraldine Bard, professor of English at Buffalo State and co-director of Project Flight, about the Books 4 Kids program.

In the second half of the show, we discussed the elimination of four Division I sports at the University at Buffalo with Buffalo News sports reporter Mark Gaughan.

Finally, we spoke with Erin Habes, professor of fashion at Buffalo State, about the fashion department’s show Runway and the state of the fashion industry.
