(Buffalo, N.Y.) — This week on the Buffalo Review (April 27), we covered internet addiction, the western New York Invention Convention, the use of virtual lab rats and the growing popularity of the veganism.
First, we spoke with Dr. Michael Niman, professor of communication studies at Buffalo State, about the growing problem of internet addiction.
Next, we discussed the western New York Invention Convention, a program that encourages K-8 students solve problems through creation, with Merry Constantino, a member of the board for the program.
In the second half of the show, we spoke with Ed Cara, a science writer whose work has been featured by Yahoo News and Newsweek, about the possibility of replacing live lab rats with virtual ones.
Finally, we discussed the growing trend of veganism, which is predicted to be the most popular food trend of 2018, with registered dietitian Emily Wood, who operates the business the Rad Vegan.
