Buffalo, NY – March is women’s history month, and at Buffalo State college students are showing their appreciation. Student organizations on campus came together to collaborate on an event to empower women.
Black Active Minds President Theresa Muller said, “I feel like women’s history month is essential, just because we are recognizing people who are often forgotten.”
The Vice President for the Caribbean Students Organization Jade Burkett explains why she wanted to be apart of this collaboration.
“I decided that I need to do something to give back that strength I have gained from my family to other women,” Burkett mentioned.
Female entrepreneurs explain how they balance their career with school and their personal lives.
“I write everything down on my phone and my calendar,” said makeup artist Chrishanna Allen.
Rapper Quality performed his latest song at the Women Empowerment Brunch.
“If you ever listen to the lyrics I don’t say the B word, I don’t disrespect, it’s just to uplift,” said Quality.
