Buffalo State graduate school fair draws large turnout

The Career Development Center at SUNY Buffalo State hosted their annual graduate school fair Oct. 19 at the Campbell Student Union social hall. Representatives from more than 65 schools were on hand and hundreds of students attended the event hoping to learn more about a variety of graduate programs in New York and beyond. Continue reading

Buffalo State men’s hockey looking to replace leadership from last year’s team

The Buffalo State men’s hockey team is looking to build off a winning season last year, where they compiled a record of 18-8-1 and eventually lost to Oswego in the SUNY Athletic Conference tournament. Head coach Steve Murphy, who is entering his third season at Buffalo State, is trying to replace some key players who graduated last year, including goaltender Mike DeLaVergne, who will play professionally this year in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). Halloween is the one day a year where you’re encouraged to be anything besides yourself, however, the holiday can potentially pose safety risks for all ages. For example, there are often horror stories about people putting dangerous items, such as razor blades or drugs, into candy.
