An unidentified student reported a sexual assault on the SUNY Buffalo State campus Friday Feb. 16. A female commuter student reported the attack happened around 1 p.m. in an unspecified parking lot. Opioid deaths decline in Erie County for first time since 2013
The number of deaths attributed to opioid overdoses in Erie County has declined for the first time since 2013. County health officials released figures Feb. 27 that showed there were 233 confirmed opioid related deaths in 2017, a decline of more than 10 percent from 2016 when there were 301 deaths.
